Choir

“Methodism was born in song” to quote John Wesley, and Methodists have always sung about what they believe.

Members of the Choir are there because they enjoy singing the hymns and anthems that express their faith in memorable ways.

At many 10.30 services, and on other special occasions, they help to lead the congregation from the front of the church, providing harmonic balance to the singing, and assisting the introduction of any less familiar hymns chosen by the preacher.

Rehearsals are on a Friday evening from 7.15 to 8.30, though not every week.

All who enjoy singing are welcome, of whatever age and ability, and we don’t take ourselves too seriously.

Tenors and basses would find a particular welcome.
