Forthcoming events

(see church calendar for internal meetings and events)

Coffee Church

Coffee cup

Due to the very favourable feedback on our experimental Coffee Church we have decided that we will “do” Coffee Church once a month (as far as possible), to fall on the 3rd Sunday of each month.

Starting off at 10:30 with coffee (& treats) and fellowship, and carrying this atmosphere into a shorter time of formal worship is having positive outcomes.

We are discovering-as we have recently read- that worship flows out of fellowship.

Our next Coffee Church is on 18 November.

Messy Church

We invite you to come to our next  “half-termly” Messy Church, when a large number of young children –accompanied by a parent or carer- learn about faith through various creative activities, enjoy a short informal worship space and finish off the morning with refreshments.

Our next Messy Church is on Monday, 29 October, from 10:00 until 12:00.

Saturday 3rd November

10am – 12-30

Christmas gifts, cards, jewellery, toys, plus our usual range of grocery, food  household & homeware goods

Refreshments available – all welcome

Operation Christmas Child - Shoeboxes

Operation Christmas Child - packing day.

So far, we have 265 beautifully wrapped shoeboxes. We are hopeful of our final total being 365 (one for every day in the year).

Please come along to help us - there will also be a bring and buy stall, tea and coffee

Hopefully we have enough soft toys, we have a beautiful collection.

The hats and mittens etc are also coming along fine so don't stop knitting!! We have a good selection of tennis balls.

We need shoe bags drawstring bags of any kind. Sharpened crayons and pencils, rubbers sharpeners and notebooks and colouring books and pens.  And pencil cases if possible. Also, toothbrushes, face cloths and soap, small size shampoos and deodorants.  Also, hairbrushes and combs etc.

We also need any kinds of toys and games, yo-yo’s and skipping ropes etc. Also, any cars or lorries etc, especially those with the WOW factor.

We do not really need toothpaste or sweets, both of which, although they will be accepted this year, will be banned by customs next year.

If you would like to donate items for the shoeboxes please contact the Church Office for details of what gifts are needed and how to donate please.

The boxes will be blessed in the 10.30 service on Sunday 18 Nov.
