Here is the Circuit Prayer for June 2026 from Upper Welland Methodist Church, Malvern

In March this year we gave thanks to God for the life of Maureen Mackenzie who had been an enthusiastic advocate of and for the Chapel for more than 50 years. She lived within walking distance of the Chapel and believed that we existed to serve the people of the village and the surrounding area. She lived out this conviction through her service to the fellowship and her witness to neighbours. In addition to this, for many years, the Chapel has been a sanctuary for those who are hurting and need a safe undemanding place to worship, sometimes for a few weeks and sometimes for longer. We are beginning to develop a vision for how that sense of sanctuary can be used to serve local people and the wider circuit.

Please pray that we will continue to listen for God’s Spirit led direction for contextually relevant ways that we can share the love of Jesus and how best to go about it. We pray for those attending the “Come as You are” discipleship course starting this month and being led by Richard Barley. We pray for the Rev Paul Carter and his wife Carol as they prepare to move to the South Worcestershire Circuit. We thank God for all who offer us their varied ministry gifts and skills of oversight and worship.
