Circuit Prayer

Here is the Circuit Prayer for May from Somers Park Avenue:-

Good and gracious God we thank you for the warm fellowship at Somers Park Avenue, especially for those who have recently joined us.  Thank you for the ministry of Deacon Corinne who is walking alongside us and giving encouragement and our pastoral support worker Anne Rich for her wisdom and empathy.  We pray for and give thanks for all of our preachers, especially the ministers and supernumeraries and look forward to welcoming Rev Paul Carter in September.

Thank you for the celebration of the opening of our present church building 90 years ago and for all who have worshipped here over the years.  Guide us by your Holy Spirit so that we may be worthy to follow in their footsteps.

We ask for your blessings on all our activities: Ladies Club, being part of an ecumenical team bringing Bible stories to children in schools, offers of hospitality to the housebound of the local community through baked potato lunches and Sunday afternoon teas.

May your Holy Spirit increase our faith and guide our use of resources to bring your kingdom here on earth.

Please keep Somers Park Avenue Church in your prayers throughout May.
